YSAFE opposes all forms of discrimination and violence, and works especially to promote the role of sexuality education in preventing sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). Comprehensive sexuality education provides young people with transformative models for their futures, helps them release themselves from toxic gender roles and enables them to recognize and prevent SGBV in their own communities.
We created the Safe from Sexual and Gender-Based Violence toolkit in partnership with organizations in Serbia, Romania and Portugal that support young people at increased risk of experiencing SGBV. The toolkit includes a curriculum of 38 full workshop guides and a wealth of background information. It was written with and for young people who are most likely to be impacted, including queer, intersex, trans and gender variant youth, and Roma youth. You can access it here.
